Hi, I’m Gillian Murray

I've spent 25+ years in organizational learning and development roles, including leadership positions at the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) and the Professional Development Consortium (PDC). I have deep expertise in helping people reach their professional potential.

Throughout my career, people have gravitated to me as a trusted partner for informal advice and idea-bouncing on professional choices. I leaned into that strength and made it an intentional part of my work, pursuing formal coach certification via the NeuroLeadership Institute so that I can focus on what I loved most about those conversations: helping others find career satisfaction.

What’s career satisfaction? It’s the result of an ongoing professional journey that aligns with a person’s definition of success, their values, and what matters to them right now.

In coaching terms, that could be as straightforward as navigating a workplace dilemma, or as big-picture as figuring out how to get to the next stage (or discovering what the next stage even *is*) of where someone wants to be in their professional life.

In training terms, I help others find career satisfaction by improving professional skills so that people are more engaged with their role, their team, and their organization. During my PD career, I’ve developed and delivered live, interactive programming on everything from conflict management to communication to understanding how behavioral economics affects client perception of the price and value of legal services.

And, as a dual US/British citizen, I am comfortable in both cultures, including how the worlds of business and law are conducted. Plus, I regularly “pond hop” back and forth to the UK, particularly Scotland (hence the two iconic bridges on my website). I work with clients in either location.
